Well I know we have many high school football watchers here. Who are your picks to win 5A 6A 7A and 8A? Well we aren't quite sure where everyone will end up. Most changes are occurring between 5 and 6 a... I'll post my top 3 teams in no particular order. 5A Montini (going for 4, playoff experience will get them some wins, can than find an identity on offense?) Kaneland (no more excuses this year, team was built for this season, defense is still an issue) Marian Central (how much can Strevelar do? If he runs out of gas, this team is over. Issues of over using a qb) 6A Crete-Monee (Tons of talent all over the field, haven't played anyone and usually struggle in the playoffs) Lemont (great oLine lots of play off experience, can they throw the ball enough to keep teams guessing) Cary Grove (this team is always a tough out and is experienced. How good is their offense) 7A (yes no Glenbard West, they have a little Cubs in them, cough) Providence (Best team from Emerald Isle in a while, very good offense, can their Qb continue to make plays, defense isn't strong suit) Lincoln Way East (To me they are the best team in the state with the best player in the state qb Fuesel, can they over come pressure to win) Rockford Boylan (the silent assissins, they keep quiet and just win state titles, are they good enough to win a strong 7A) 8A (no Brook, even if bailey comes back it doesn't cure that defense) Loyola (Elite defense will always keep them towards the top. Game with Maine South Looms, seeking that title) Maine South (Top notch Qb run or pass and they are back on track, whoever gets home game vs Loyola could be headed to champaign) Mt Carmel (Butkus runs the veer to perfection, this team can play both sides of the ball. Frank itching for another title)

Don't matter. I hope they like the state semi finalist plaque they will get when they lose on 11/17 in Lombard.
