A very happy Sunday to all! Was out at the Max center last night to watch some good softball. Congratulations to the Rockers Doc for winning it all, great job girls. I only saw some of the games though I was to busy trying to hit on the hot Moms and they don't allow smoking in there so I had to go outside and smoke, not like outdoor games were you can smoke in the dugout.
High school try-outs start next week, would like to wish all the Rocker girls best of luck at their try-outs. The world tour was going to start up soon but have you seen these gas prices. I will be looking for someone to come pick me up and take me to all these games. In return I will by dinner, but only places were the most expensive item on the menu is 5 dollars.
Sat down yesterday with Richie C ,Joe C and Feds at BW's, had the usual a diet coke no ice, we were discussing high school softball. We talked about the Stone City tournament and noticed the lack of quality teams missing from past tournaments. Looks like even the high school teams are getting sick of the old mans act. I hear there are two new tournaments in the works for next year that will knock the old crow out of the box! Stay tuned! We talked about the high prices of tournaments and how it has gotten out of hand. Exposure tournaments that cost $875.00, National Qualifiers that cost $600 or more no refunds. Come on man who you guys crapping? ASA needs to take the position as PGF with a tournament cap on prices.
As for exposure tournaments the Didi Exposure tournament at $475 is starting to gain momentum. They will be adding a Gold bracket this year with top quality Gold teams, a handful have already committed. Being close to Elgin that will draw some of the D1 coaches to come watch the Gold players play. Plus they are having a hospitality tent with food and drink for college coaches, and partial refunds on rain out games. Thats crazy, how are these guys making any money? My prediction in a couple more years this will be one of the best exposure tournaments around. They are doing some nice things over at The Rockers now that the old guard has been removed!
Hugs and Kisses
The Gov. XOXOXO
