How are the rockers able to run an asa national qualifier tournament with refunds for $425, and other tournaments that are offering the same national bid for $600... What am I missing here?

I cant speak for other organizations on why so much, but I know field costs are a huge part of it.
We are trying to give the softball community a quality tournament for a fair price. We have a lot of people donating their time for free, we are not looking to line our pockets. Unlike other organizations if you don't play we refund a part of your money, whats fair is fair! There will be fences at our National Qualifiers, fields will be maintained through out the tournament,we will have our brackets posted on our board with updates, and a rain hot line. Everything that should be expected at a tournament!
I know if you come to our tournaments this year you wont be disappointed! ( Face masks and mouthguards are optional not mandatory at our tournaments.)

I am not against making a buck on these tournaments. Tournaments are a lot of work. You should get paid. But when you provide substandard facilities combined with ridiculous refund policies and 1 umpire, it is apparent why you( not you specifically) are running these events. Blatant money grab.

I agree it is getting pretty blatantly obvious on what is going on! But The Rockers are trying to provide the highest quality tournaments at the fairest price out there!

I would have to say, look at other ASA qualifiers in the Illinois ASA. All are below 500. I just don't see how charging more than 500 is feasible. Your costs can't be that much more!
