What are some new trends you have been seeing in softball.
Emphasis on different training techniques.
Certain drills/coaching philosophy changes.
What areas do most coaches and players ignore?
I feel that now a days players are less instinctual because less and less kids watch baseball and softball. They are coached better now a days and focus on training is higher but that instinct on the field isn't as high.

In my opinion very few teams know how to steal bases and be aggressive. Yes the move back to 43 feet made for more offense but you still need to score as many runs as possible. There are a few coaches out there who are aggressive. The best 2 I have seen, like them or not, are Julie Fonda in HS and Bill Conroy on travel.

I agree a lot of coaches are very conservative when it comes to stealing and hit and runs.

Other trend I'm noticing is how expensive these tournaments are. My team is having a hard time fitting these tourneys into our budget. 600+ is crazy for tourneys

That would have to be a lot of money to be scammed. How is that possible?

That would have to be a lot of money to be scammed. How is that possible? From what i hear, ASA only charges 200 bucks to run an ASA qualifier.
