If you play out west or even out east, they drag, reline and water the fields after every game. The gate fee in Colorado is also $30 per person for the week. Reality is no one will do all that work for 0 compensation, and i don't know about you and what you get payed, but splitting 3/4 k for all the prep and time put in isn't what i call getting rich. Just sayin.

The field rental is tied into payment of employees at the park. 3/4K plus gate fees is pretty decent dough for two days.

OK so Billy the Judge has posted the pools. Who are the Odds on Favorites? I will give you some early lines: Bandits: Even Money - Depends which team they send Hawks Judge: 2-1 - With his ump on his field, who knows what will happen Rockers Doc : 5-2 - After IOWA, this team will be ready to ROCK! Hawks Findley: 7-1 - Still putting it all together Hawks Noble: 10-1 - Can the pitching hold up Rockers RC: 15-1 - Football / Cheerleading / Homecoming will leave this team short, can they pull a epic and come back on Sunday? Nationals: 25-1 - Good Coach, Good Team, need to gel more Field: 35 - 1 - Could be some upsets, but they way the brackets will fall, Judge will make it easy! Winners BracketBandits, Bulls Sox, Hawks Findlay, Wasco WM make the final four in winners bracket. Losers BracketHawks Judge... two and done Rockers Doc... Losers bracket... but can probably get at least a few more wins Hawks Noble... Losers bracket... playing Rockers RC next... Rockers RC... Losers bracket... playing Hawks Noble next (One of them is done after the 8am game) Nationals... Losers bracket but still alive. Plays Elk Grove Heat next then winner of Noble/RC game Field? [/u] IL Bash, Kane County Xplosion, New Lenox Lightning PT Most teams should be at full strength today with all the Homecoming stuff out of the way. Could be an interesting day. Bring your blankets!

Some legit talent out there. 16/U in Illinois will match up well with the rest of the country.

Saw a lot of close games this past weekend especially on Sunday. Lemont Rockers R.C. had a nice come from behind win in the top of the 7th against the Bull Soxs and then lose a close one to Wasco. As mentioned above Beverly Bandits won the championship over Wasco Diamonds 6-5 in an International tie breaker. The top 5 finishers were: 1) Beverly Bandits 2) Wasco Diamonds 3) Hawks - Finley 4) Lemont rockers R.C. 5) New Lenox Lightning and Bull Sox Academy

16/u seems very talented this year. i wonder how different that tournament would of played out if there were fences. Fences could change games, balls that roll to gaps are no longer triples/hrs and outfielders can't play in Kenosha to catch deep flies over 200 feet....but to say the least the Metro should be a barn burner.
