I posted this topic on another board, but it was promptly deleted. Guess the old timer liked his situation with Metros.
Who wants to see a PGF national qualifier the same weekend as Metros? A little competition is the best way to force improvements.
I am really sick and tired of how poorly Metros is run. It is really sad to see the tournament that is supposed to be the "one to win" and with all the bragging rights run the way it is. The fields are not maintained at all and in poor condition, no fences, spread out all over the place, and run on the back of a napkin.

The problem is you have to play in the metro if you want to play in an ASA National. Even if you already earned your bid, they make you play in it!
But I agree with all your points.
