This is a new exposure event to this area. We are still waiting for a schedule ( some of us have out of town players). I am interested in seeing the Pools of teams also.
Discuss.

This appears to be an interesting opportunity for teams. But i take it as a wait and see approach.

There were 54 teams in teh tournament including 3 pick up teams. A friend of ours participated in the event and so far as really liked it. There were a large number of coaches attending. I read some not so good reviews from the one in So-Cal but it seems this one has been a success.

The Tourney has some really great aspects to it. The Usa Preps teams are individual kids put together to get extra exposure. These teams are coached by many of college coaches attending. The Coaches can instruct players while observing them. Only drawback is the high school umpires have been making strange calls. Overall event gets a B+.

Great potential with this tournament, concept of having college coaches in dugouts and interacting with players and travel coaches was refreshing. Glad I got a chance to watch our high school players in that type of enviroment..

I think college coaches were assigned fields for the day. I'm sure one of the participating travel coaches can easily clarify this.
Instruction/suggestions were given to players and travel coaches by the college coaches at the games I watched. College coaches coached first base and gave base-running instruction, hitting tweaks and over-all the rapport seemed good between all parties involved. The communication carried over into the dugout and I saw several instances of college coaches discussing techniques with both players and travel coaches. I thought it was a win/win situation for everyone.
