What is your background in softball?
What was some of the wisdom you gathered from coaching with Didi?
Besides yourself, who are 3 other quality hitting coaches?
What are some of the coaching errors you see most common?
Will you ever write a tell all book about the softball world?
Thoughts of the following people: Roy Peña Lock Richie C Bill Conroy Dave Betcher

Thoughts of the following people: Roy Peña Lock Richie C Bill Conroy Dave Betcher 1). 4 metro titles, multiple championships on Sunday, oh yeah an ass. coach to the great Didi's ASA champion team. In other words more than Roy, Richie and bu combined.. 2) Da coach, talk me the complete package. Greatest life coach as well, I will be forever grateful 3) I am retired from hitting coach 101. Steve ball, bill judge and chi town mike. 4) most coaching errors I see with coaches. When coaches let their emotions get in the way, instead of thinking first. I am guilty as charged. 5) pay me first Roy Pena- team mom, and great honest friend Lock- only man that could have replaced the man. Should have been the president if the rockers but he is too busy counting his cash. Richie C.- the verdict will be out with in a year or two. Very nice man Bill Conroy- close friend who I would trust in war Dave Betcher- very good coach and learned from the best in Didi in the business aspect of the sport. Good friend I would like to say a comment on my good two friends as well. Feds... Feds- ill out lift you any day in the gym.

I told Joey that I would take the president spot... Other's said No! Lock - And what experience do you have in the game of Fast Pitch softball? How would you be qualified to be President of a Fast Pitch organization?

Richie C- I've had countless hours of guidance from the late, great Jim Didi. I couldn't tell you how many hours of softball talk we've had.
However, I don't believe the requirements of running a Fast Pitch softball organization should hinge on ones knowledge of softball. I believe a great leader has key traits that they should posses, such as, but not limited too: conviction for the organization, strong communication skills, honesty, consistency, passion, strong decision making skills, organizational skills and the ability to listen and/or understand the needs and wants of players, coaches, parents, sponsors and anyone else that I would have came in contact with as the leader of the Rockers.
I believe I posse several of these key traits and characteristics, which many of them were learned from the Didi himself. I would have took pride in the position and organization, because my work would've been to carry out his dream.

JoeyD- No need to relax. In no way, shape, or form am I questioning the current leadership of the Rockers. Just answering the questions that were directed towards me.

I believe I posse several of these key traits and characteristics, which many of them were learned from the Didi himself. I would have took pride in the position and organization, because my work would've been to carry out his dream. In my original post, I asked 2 questions. I never said you be a good or a bad president. I agree with some of your reasoning, however I do feel that a few things are a little off, but again, your point of view vs mine are really irrelevant. I do feel that the way the Rockers are run now is the best way. There is NO ONE person who can fill the huge shoes of the Late James "Didi" Digregorio. I do think the current Rockers coaches got it right when we decided to set up a board to run things. There is too much that goes on within an organization to give 1 person complete control, unless that person is Jim Didi. The Rockers are, and hopefully will be, run by a Board of Directors for a long time to come. Each of the ELECTED Board members will have an equal vote. There may be a "President" named to run meetings, but all Board members (Currently 5) will have equal votes. As for being a part of the organization, our Inaugural Board of Directors was an open nomination, and since I did not see your name on the Ballot, I can assume you never took the time to send in a resume. With that being said how can you be "President" if you didn't take the time to meet the deadline for resume submissions. I do not know how the real world is, but in the education field, when they put a deadline on applications, you can be Mother Theresa and they will not consider you for the position if you are past the deadline. I believe you would posses the passion for the program, but that would have to be a passion you gained, not one you currently have. Again, Just my opinions!

I think Lock is a "Great" candidate for president because of his many years of running baseball tournaments and organizing sporting events in the Quad City's area.
