Who are you biggest influences in softball/coaching? Well starting out, I was able to coach under Ron Havelka. I learned a lot from him, then more recently it has to be Mike Paulo. I also love to go to clinics and hear college coaches speak on topics. The Drohan Sisters, Heather Tarr and Bill Edwards are 4 coaches who I have drawn a lot of my philosophy's and drills from. How did you become a Rocker? Well Mike Paulo asked me to be his assistant on the 18-U team in 2008. I have known mike for a few years, and coached against him when he was at Hinsdale Central. He thought I would be a valuable asset that summer. What was your impression of Didi? Didi was a GREAT man. He had a Heart of Gold and would do anything for anyone. He reminded me of my own dad so much, it was almost scary! I was truly honored when Didi asked me to be his assistant at Montini for the 2008-2009 High school season. It would have been a real treat to coach along side of him. Can you win a metro this year? 16-U is a tough age. There are about 8-10 teams that I could see winning it, and our Rockers have 2 teams capable of winning it. But to answer your question, YES we can! Will you be a Montini football coach next year? You tell me! I have talked to the powers that be and as of 1/28 I will be coaching at Niles West next season! Thoughts of these people: The Lock - WHAT A CHARACTER! Meet him for the first time a week ago, and I gotta say, he is a good dude. Anyone that can put LT. Dan into a Tizzy is A O.K. in my book. Lt Dan - Danny is a good friend who I have good times with. On the field, me and him don't see Eye-to-eye, but off the field I consider him a good friend. I would love to see him coach again, especially at the lower ages. Mike Mucha - a QUIET STIFF. Don't even get me started on this guy! If he ever calls about wanting to go out on a Saturday night, be ready to drop him off at 7:30 PM! As an umpire, he is good, but too soft spoke. He tossed a guy out of Metro's last year and the guy never heard him. Read more: didirockers.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=post&thread=134&page=1#ixzz2JH8UBzs6

Wow, glad to see Ritchie doesn't lack confidence. Typical. I thought he was changing, guess not.

His whole attitude. When my daughter played for him he was great, then we started to win a little and he got very cocky and blew us off.

Well the next year she wanted to play for him but he had "recruited" players to play for his team. Rumor has it he does that every year. How many players stay with him from year to year?

Well I will say that I can act a little goofy at times and I might make a scene but most of the girls who play for me have a good time. As for your daughter if you think I treated her unfairly, lets sit down and talk. I am pretty positive that it is all a misunderstanding.

Again from his responses in the initial post, none of this was evident. So your first response held no water.... If you have a beef with him that is your business... You'd have to ask him, I believe from last year to this year he has 6 returning players...not too shabby!
