Hohman Named to C-USA All-Academic Team
Hohman is one of 12 softball student-athletes to be named all academic.

IRVING, Texas - UTEP softball's Colleen Hohman was named to the 2014 Conference USA All- Academic team league officials announced on Thursday. The 2014 team consists of 12 student-athletes with a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and must be a starter or key reserve on their team.
This is the first time Hohman has been named to the All-Academic team. Hohman, a native of Naperville, Ill., holds a 3.73 GPA as a bilingual elementary education major. She is a three-time selection to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll since transferring to UTEP from Kansas prior to the 2012 softball season. In 2012, Hohman was also recognized as a C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist.
Hohman not only excelled in the classroom, the senior infielder/pitcher set career highs in multiple categories.
In the batters' box, she set career marks in home runs (11), RBI (28), doubles (eight), hits (39), runs (16), slugging percentage (.684) and batting average (.333). Hohman's home run total and slugging percentage led the team in 2014.

In the circle, she won six games during the 2014 season, as her 17-career wins is ranked tied fourth all time in program history.
Her efforts on the rubber and at the dish surged the Miners during sweeps over La Tech and Middle Tennessee 2014. UTEP's sweep at La Tech was the first-ever road sweep of a conference foe in program history. Hohman won two of the three games against the Lady Techsters, while hitting a home run on a 3-for-4 and three RBI performance during game two of the series. In the victories over the Blue Raiders, the Miners' first home sweep of a conference opponent since the 2010 season, Hohman won two games and saved another, while cranking out two two-run home runs during the second inning of the second game.

EL PASO, Texas - Colleen Hohman was named All-South Region third team as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday. This is the first all-region honor for the senior standout.
Hohman was named to the team at the utility/pitcher position.
The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region and all the honorees will now be eligible for selection to one of three 2014 NFCA Division I All-American teams.
